Cara is something of a free spirit, with the spunk and moxie to match. Clever and quick-tongued, she is outgoing, talkative, and personable. Though she is generally warm and amicable, Cara also has a stubborn streak and holds strong opinions and convictions that are not easily swayed. An independent thinker, Cara isn't afraid to march to the beat of her own drum or go against the grain.

As an artist and writer, Cara is highly creative, full of ideas and imagination, and a daydreamer. She looks for beauty and inspiration in everything. She is savvy about finding work and putting herself out there as a freelancer and makes a decent living doing graphic design, painting murals and storefronts in the city, and writing for magazines and her blog.

Having separated herself from her family, Cara values her friends deeply. She is very generous toward them and would jump to help them at the drop of a pin, at any cost, and even to her own detriment. She readily opens up to them about her feelings and is always there to listen if they need someone to talk to.

Cara has a touch of daredevil in her and is quite the thrill-seeker and risk-taker. Desperate for an escape from her controlling mother and naturally anti-authoritarian and a rebel, Cara developed an unfortunate propensity for certain illegal activities.

The criticism Cara faced from her mother as a child hurt her self-esteem deeply although she won't admit it. This manifests in her self-effacing sense of humour and an unvoiced insecurity about the merits of her work and her general sense of worth as a person. She has periods of melancholy and feeling bad about herself and she tries to fill the void through thrill-seeking, flaunting the law, creating art, and socializing.
