Kit is the resident Foxfan of a bakery named Sugarbread. The bakery opened several generations ago and has been passed down in the family, never once put in the hands of a stranger. Despite being at the bakery for many, many years, Kit still finds himself fascinated by the art of baking, and is always willing to lend a paw to create something delicious. He is a mascot of sorts for the shop, with many customers visiting specifically for him. He enjoys parading around the old cobblestone streets with a sign around his neck, advertising the bakery and drawing new customers in. They step through the door because of him, and they keep returning because of the delicious confections the shop has to offer.
While he is friendly with anyone who walks through the bakery's door, he is quick to protect the store, it's owner, or it's customers from anyone who would wish it harm. He is an astute judge of character, and has done his fair share in defending the shop from robbers that he recognized as entering with ill intentions before the humans did. The current owner, a young, soft-spoken man in his twenties, has come to rely on Kit's instincts and is wary around those of whom Kit does not warm up to. The two spend a lot of time together after the bakery closes, creating baked goods and coming up with new recipes, often by accident due to their mutual love of experimentation. Whether these experiments are successes or failures, they revel in the creation.
Not unlike the human owner of the bakery, Kit enjoys making people smile. Whether he accomplishes this through food or play, as long as he brightens someone's day, he himself is happy. This means that he often tries to help others with their problems, and can sometimes get in over his head if it is something he is incapable of fixing. But the fact that he even makes the effort is often enough to cheer someone up. He can be nosy and invasive, but is so with good intentions. He is especially good with children as they each have the same expectations for personal boundaries - none whatsoever. He often entertains the children of customers for the duration of their visit, and gets along well with other Foxfans and animals.
While he has been with the bakery since it's inception, he is not tied to any particular human and has remained there by choice, not by force. His human companion is both aware of this fact and respectful of it, never trying to force Kit to do anything. This respect in turn has greatly increased Kit's affection for the young man, and he has become incredibly protective of and loyal to him, just as he was with the bakery's first owner.
