Anubis / Jack

About

Ageless and endless, he has guided souls to the underworld and weighed their worth with a feather from the beginning of time. He has seen the rise of the pyramids, the fall of civilisations, the onset of globalisation, the advent of all modern life as we know it.

No longer worshipped by modern man, Anubis continues to do his duty even from our world of the living. In our current age, he has taken on the vocation of a palliative care nursing attendant. It is only fitting, after all, for him to comfort and care for souls on the brink of death and beyond.

Also, because he has grown weary of all the weird looks thrown his way when he introduces himself to new patients and colleauges, he goes by the name of "Jack". Short for jackal, of course - though he will sometimes say it is short for jack-ass.
