Danzaburou Danuki supreme commander of the tanuki on Sado island. He is also known as one of the three famous tanuki of japan. Many tales of Danzaburou involve him tricking humans with different types of transformation magic. Still he was never viewed as a bad tanuki. He was generous to the humans often lending them money when needed. He also would repay what he stole.

Bond 2:

As a Tanuki, Danzburou is skilled in transformation magic. From changing his own appearance and that of common leaves and even some minor illusions. It truly seems he can transform anything to whatever he wants and himself into who ever he wants. It is best to weary of any items you receive from him.

Bond 3: Why There are no Kitsune in Sado

Danzaburou  Danuki is stayed as the reason there are no foxes in Sado one of these legends involves him meeting a fox who asks Danzaburou to take him to Sado. Danzaburou tells the fox to transform into Zori. The fox does so and Danzaburou wears them. As Danzaburou rode the ship to Sado he removed the zori the fox was transformed into and tossed them into the sea making it so no fox ever tries to cross over to Sado again.

Bond 4: Futatsuiwa Daimyoujin A
Despite the fact that Danzaburou loved tricking humans he was still generous and kind to those who needed it. He would often lend money to those who needed it. Of course he gained this money by tricking people or even embezzlement.
There are also stories of him repaying his debt to humans. There is a story that states a tanuki left a note with the victims name on it the sum of money and a date. When the date came the note was gone and money left in his place. Soon Danzaburou was deified by the people of Aikawa and renamed to Futatsuiwa Daimyoujin.

Bond 5: 
Though Dazaburou had taken great pleasure in tricking humans there is one tale where he was outsmarted and afterward stopped tricking humans.

Once Dazaburou had noticed a young peasant and decided to trick him. Danzaburou had transformed himself into a young woman and pretended to be ill. The peasant however had a hutch that it was actually Dazaburou playing a trick. The peasant tied the women up with a rope and began carrying her. Danzabour pleaded to be let go but the young peasant refused. Soon they reached the house of the peasant and revealed that he had thought the young woman was Danzaburou Danuki. The young peasant chastised Danzaburou for his tricks. Danzaburou appologied and never tried to trick a human ever again.

Design:  A short tubby anthropomorphic tanuki yokai. His fur pattern differs from what one would expect a tanuki to look like. He is mostly a sand colour with a dark brown stripe going from his snot over his head and down his back he has patches of the same shade over his arms and 3 rings on his tail and toes as well as the tips of the fur tufts on his cheeks. His eyes are amber and he wears small circular glasses.
His usual outfit is a light blue gray shirt and loose dark pants. He has a red rope belt  on the left side and 2 large bells to represent tanuki's large you know what on the right side he has a pouch of which he keeps leaves to help with his transformation magic.

Personality: a very laid back individual who enjoys tricking others with. Even so he will never actively work to harm anyone who is innocent. He is known to swindle the rich taking their money and giving it to people who need it more. He will always repay his debts.

He can also come off as a very Fathery person though more in the joking meme sense. Even still he is a kind and caring individual. 

He isn’t fond of foxes though and never works to hide this fact. After all he is the reason there are no foxes in Sado
