Pokémon: Chanel, a female shiny Chatot; she is extremely useful to remind her tidbits and missions, and is very protective of Cyanna (doesn't especially like when people try to flirt with her). Is even too curious at times, her beak is always in someone else's business.

Cyanna showed up unconscious on a shore when she was a young teen, only a Pokeball with her, and was luckily saved and took in by some Pokemon Rangers. Nobody to this day know where she comes from.
Cyanna herself, probably due to some trauma, can't be of help because she doesn't remember a thing about her past, and she still has severe amnesia attacks almost daily causing her to lose even the memories she's making currently (kind of like Dory in "Finding Nemo"). Even her name was due to her Chatot, who would screech it nonstop until people started calling her Cyanna.
Grateful to the Rangers for saving her and willing to return the favor and help others, she signed up as a Ranger as well, even if she doesn't a stellar job at it. Her idol is the top Ranger Hunter (@captainrei), and she tries her best to be as good as him. During a mission the two get to meet, and even though at the start Hunter sees Cyanna as a burden, with time he starting worrying and caring about her. Thanks to Hunter and new friends Cyanna's amnesia episodes start becoming less and less (or less severe), and eventually she and Hunter start dating. After they break up a few years later, Cyanna goes through a quite dark period (blaming the break-up on herself) but overcomes it thanks to friends and her dedication to do a good job as a teacher.
