Anabelle Alfertheinz

Anabelle's parents abandoned her at a young age when they fled from the Alfertheinz family's debt. Anabelle became independent, devising a plan to clear her name. She gained the collaboration of a pirate captain and his crew by promising them a new ship and great benefits, and thus became a pirate herself. Her careful planning skills and ambition earned her respect among the crew, and when the captain was on his death bed from a battle wound, it was loyal Anabelle whom he chose as his heir. 

As the new captain, one could say Anabelle ran a tight ship. She was but a girl, with such wit and ambition that allowed her to play the role. Anabelle traveled all seven seas with her crew, obtaining much treasure and showing no mercy upon her enemies. It was on one trip to an Asian country called Japan when she heard stories about all the unique spirits that might exist there. In particular, during a stop to repair the ship in a small port-town, she learned of a guardian deity- a baku, or a monster that devoured dreams. So one night, Anabelle summoned it with the chant: "baku-chan, come eat my dream!" three times.
And then it appeared. A hideous but equally mystical creature, with the claws of a tiger and the head, trunk, and tusks of an elephant. However Anabelle was not frightened, for the monster transformed into a boy with crystal blue eyes and silvery hair. It made her very curious indeed, and so she demanded they have a tea party in her room. After that night, she summoned the baku again to read her a story, and again for a third time- it was on that fateful night when Anabelle captured the baku's interest with her adventure stories. He came back several times after that on his own, and for the first time Anabelle found as if she had gained a friend. Since she had been abandoned, Anabelle longed for some company, and this monster who listened to her every night became her solution. She did not wish to part with it, so she offered to take the monster with her and make him her servant. The deal was struck, and the baku became Oliver Pratton, a name which Anabelle gave him, marking the start of their journey together.

Through her outstanding perseverance and dedication, Anabelle finally collected enough value to repay her debts and bring the Alfertheinz name up from the ashes. She was able to leave her pirate life behind and built a confectionary factory that brings her massive profit and is now one of the largest sweets producers in the country. The little Lady returned to a noble life with her new adorable servant, and was even recognised by Her Majesty for her massive achievements. As the Queen's Mouse, Anabelle's duty is to dig up hard-to-obtain information from the British Underworld and provide it to other agents of the Queen who are working on cases. As such, she is not well-known to the crime world and her work is usually lightweight and quick, though there is much of it. Just like a mouse that steals and flees.
