"he is trying to find a way to cure the infection, but is extremely fragile. the marks on his horns represent the times he's been struck (its soot), and his adult form is covered in them- his horn has been almost completely nocked off and unfortunately was overtaken by the infection :{ he carries what appears to be infection in a glass bubble necklace, but really its tiny antidotes for insects who aren't too far gone. there's an extremely limited supply obviously, so he has to be careful not to run out"
