General

Appearance

Whitney is a Dalmatian with a lemon coat variation. She stands at about 5’6” and has pale beige fur with light brown spots. She has an average, slightly toned build. On the top of her head is a scruff of hair the same color as her base fur which falls over the right side of her face. Her nails are usually manicured and colored and she keeps herself flawlessly groomed. She has blue eyes with yellow-tinted sclera.

Whitney tends to wear a lot of pink, designer clothing. She’s always seen in public wearing a gold spike collar, which has become a trademark of hers. Her nails are always manicured. She occasionally wears earrings and often wears circular, tinted sunglasses.

Personality

Passionate Talented Stubborn Standoffish

Whitney is loud, opinionated, and self-confident, erring on the side of arrogance. She likes getting her way and struggles with compromise or being told "no." She's also a fun-loving girl who loves going out and spending lots of money shopping (both for herself and others). She's the sort of girlfriend who will eagerly give you a makeover or drag you out on the town when you're feeling sad.

Whitney's short temper can get her into trouble inside and outside of the band, and her inability to hold her tongue has made her the most inflammatory member of Flytrap and the one most likely to be feuding with other celebrities at any given time. She'll also tell off fans if they interrupt her while she's doing something out in public, though most of her fans know about her attitude and appreciate it as part of her character.

She's not known for thinking her actions through and makes most decisions based on emotion, not logic. She loves attention and being on the screen so she's the band member most likely to make appearances on her own, such as guest appearances on TV shows and in movies, endorsing products in commercials (if luxurious enough), and taking part in reality shows (when time allows).

Backstory

------ Childhood / Teen Years

Whitney Stewart was born in a Los Angeles suburb, where she lived with her wealthy parents and younger sister Louise. She was spoiled by her parents who poured money into any hobby she showed interest in and showed their love by buying her new toys. They were not very warm people, however, and so Whitney and Louise grew up somewhat distant from their mother and father.

In early high school Whitney was encouraged by her parents to take up an instrument to become more well-rounded. After hearing that drums were typically a "men's instrument," she became so irritated that she decided to go all in. She quickly found that she had a natural talent for percussion, and soon the halls of her parents' mansion were filled with the sounds of her hammering away on her drum set.

Soon after, Whitney met Jade Bradshaw, a classmate who invited her to join a band with another classmate, Tyler Moore. The band was called Last Dance. The group started out playing in Tyler's parents' garage and slowly began to play local gigs. Their local popularity grew and their shows drew larger and larger crowds of friends and fans,

Senior year, the girls traveled to Los Angeles to take part in a Battle of the Bands competition. After a long, stressful competition, they walked away with the second place prize -- but beyond that, a talent scout in the audience saw potential in them and approached them after the competition to sign a deal. After asking her parents for money to live in an apartment in Los Angeles, she signed and moved to the city.

------ Early Adulthood

Living in Los Angeles, the girls produced their first album working with the label Dance Grave Records. Around this time they also hired their manager, Bes, who began working with them on the more technical side of running a band. Their first album was titled "Ghosts of Us." The group also reworked their name and image, debuting under the new name Flytrap.

The album was released to middle-to-good critical reviews, but their first single "Round Robin" got lucky and skyrocketed onto the charts, making the band an overnight sensation. Plans to go on tour were soon in the works and requests for the girls to put in appearances and promote products came pouring in. Whitney, being the most outgoing member of the group, quickly skyrocketed in popularity as she put in appearance after appearance.

With all the fame and excitement, however, came mountains of stress and tension. The band members began to fight about every decision; Whitney was especially irritated by Jade's control over the group, feeling like her own opinions were always passed over. This irritation began to come out in other ways -- Whitney would frequently yell at paparazzi, makeup artists, venue staff, even fans who approached her on the street. She became known as the "difficult" member of the group.

At the same time she dated her way through a medley of different partners, each relationship only lasting a short amount of time. Her short-lived relationships were frequently rocky, fueling her frustration even more. At the heart of it, Whitney was lonely, and she knew that her entitled behavior wasn't doing her any favors.

In the background of Whitney's issues, Jade was having her own, and the band eventually took a hiatus so the group's de-facto leader could get some personal issues straightened out. Back in LA, Whitney took on some modeling work and attempted to break into acting. At the same time she began going to group therapy, inspired by Jade's dedication to her own recovery. In therapy, Whitney began to work through some of her childhood issues, especially those regarding her parents.

------ Early to Mid 20's

About a year later, Flytrap ended their hiatus and got back together. Now all of its members were more mature and used to the stresses of fame, and ready to work on their second album with renewed vigor.

Whitney still tended to butt heads with Jade and others, but she was now able to communicate her thoughts and needs more clearly, and more willing to yield for compromise. She also made a more concerted effort to get to know her bandmates on a deeper level and strengthen her relationships with both girls. About a year and a half after work on the album had begun, Transmutation was released to major critical success and several more chart-topping hits.

Flytrap went on tour again at that point, this time headlining. At this point, Whitney is still on tour with the band -- having fun, enjoying life, and trying not to let the little things bother her as much.

Relationships

Girlfriend / Best Friend

Annabelle

Information about Jade's relationship with Annabelle will go here.

Friend / Bandmate

Whitney

Jade and Whitney met freshman year of high school. The two bonded over a dislike of science class and later when Jade found out that Whitney had been taking drum classes, she invited the dalmatian to join the band.

Jade and Whitney tend to butt heads the most in the group, as Whitney has a big personality and strong ideas, which sometimes go against what Jade's vision is for the band. However, they always end up reconciling. When they're acting friendly they get along well and tend to get into trouble and egg each other on.

Friend / Bandmate

Tyler

Jade and Tyler go way back to elementary school. They're old, close friends, and the two tend to get along well. Tyler's more relaxed, positive personality helps to mellow Jade out, and she often plays mediator within the band.

Jade tends to express more of her emotions with Tyler, and though the two aren't as close as she is with Annabelle, she still trusts Tyler to talk her through emotional issues and to
