The Unplanned Variable
Captain Bennett never imagined himself leading this life: the Captain of a starship, leading a ragtag band of misfits.
Bennett is a mysterious person, although not intentional. He shields himself from the disbelief that he's met with when he tries to open up to people.
He struggles with guilt and regret on the daily; he's not a murderer, and yet there is blood on his hands. Killing is a fact of life in Halcyon, but he doesn't think he'll ever grow accustomed to it.
Despite how seriously he takes his new position as Captain, Bennett is a softie at heart. He loves his crew dearly, and will give anything for them.

Life on Earth
During his Earth years, he was a writer and a Professor. He had an active life, spending many years working in an outdoor activity camp; he knows archery, rock-climbing, and so on.

Bennett finds it difficult to process his feelings towards Felix. He's a breath of fresh air where there really shouldn't be one, and Bennett admires his vigor.
