toby is a doozy
he was accidentally chosen by the knowledge god to become immortal, keeps reincarnating and HATES it.
he was a medic, but dying over and over kind of makes you look at saving others' lives differently. Still, he sticks to healing jobs because it's the one thing he's good at. He's seen some shit and has had an uncountable number of existential crisis and at this point he's just Over It.
he has the twisted sense of humor of a doctor times ten.
he might be a bit of a jerk, but he would never actively hurt someone. He puts on a 'bedside manner' which comes off as uncomfortably flirty/awkward/false. When alone he's miserable. When drunk he reverts back to what he was like in his previous life; a hopeless romantic.
he usually wears white T-shirts. he likes wearing hospital gloves. he's got really short hair, with a long flippy bit on the side. he always looks like he's squinting in confusion probably because he's confused 100% of the time
