Pumpkinpounce's Links
Friend ?Crush? - Pumpkinpounce was initially annoyed by Peanutprance's mere existence, and even moreso at the fact that the tom would not stop talking to him. Initially he'd assumed he was just being pitied or that the higher-ranking tom was biding his time to do the bullying where it hurt....but, it quickly became clear that Peanutprance was not only genuine in his desire for friendship, but that he also was too air-brained to be that evil. After a few moons of resisting the toms attempts at friendship, he soon gave in and let him have a fair try - starting with his 'badness level' experiments that he put on some weird leaf. Eventually they began sharing nests, and soon after that, Pumpkinpounce began noticing the tom made him feel strange. He liked Peanutprance more than he wanted to admit, but he doesn't know if these are best friend feelings, or something far more...affectionate. He hates this.
Friend/Crush - Seeing the orange tom on his own and wearing his naturally disgruntled face drew Peanutprance to Pumpkinpounce - which was the opposite of the orange cat's intentions. Instead of just seeing him as a grump to avoid he figured that Pumpkinpounce just needed a friend. And if no cat else was going to do it then he was the best one for the job. He took it upon himself to be his first true friend and try to deal with his grumpiness levels.
Even though he gives affection freely to just about any cat - he especially loves giving it to Pumpkinpounce. And will seek the bigger tom out just to satisfy his desire to be close to him. To the point that he will sometimes sleep in his nest (and is disappointed when Pumpkinpounce never takes up the offer of sleeping in his own).
He's happy to make Pumpkinpounce happy and though he doesn't have a word for the warmness in his stomach Pumpkinpounce causes - he doesn't shy away from it either. He likes him and likes how he feels and isn't afraid to say it.
MY BROTHER. You made me nervous when you got in a fight with Doe when she was a kit....but you've been there to support me and I appreciate that.
