Fagulha is a young tiefling born in the far west in a village hidden in the mountains composed of only tieflings where all the inhabitants are servants of a being known to them as Vassal of the Shadows who guarantees them protection in return of worship.
This being is actually a devil with very unfriendly plans that pretends to be a benevolent god to the tieflings who faithfully believe his words and really see him as a good-natured entity.
Son of the high priest, Fagulha was instructed to be a very dedicated acolyte to this entity from a very early age. When he was about to come of age, Fagulha was sent by his lord to travel alongside a human who apparently also served his god. They were both assigned to perform sacred tasks trhought the land as requested by the Vassal and spent six months doing so until they met the party.
