kōhei tanaka, a ninteen year old who's just a little bit different than his peers.
no, i'm not talking about the parasite that inhabits his body. kōhei is missing is corpus callosum. despite the surgery that removes this integral part of the brain isn't practiced much nowadays, the doctor in his hometown didn't know of any other ways to help cure and/or ease kōhei's epilepsy. his seizures are less likely to kill him now, but they're not completely gone.
due to this however, when his parasist entered through his ear in attempt to consume his brain, it could only take half of it. it matured before it could analyze how to take over the remaining half, like shinichi's parasite did with his hand. kōhei spent near months just assuming the random bursts of movement on his right side was a common side effect of his surgery: alien hand syndrome.

- the parasite is on the right side of his brain, controlling the left side of his body.
- kōhei doesn't murder to eat. he works in a funeral home and generally eats those who aren't identified/claimed.
- kōhei is allergic to shellfish.
- kōhei excells in his speaking skills. he speaks japanese and mandarin.
- he's had epilepsy since he was seven.
corpus callosotomy
kōhei went under when he was nine after a seizure episode nearly killed him on a school trip. for about a month after he was mute, a common side effect of the procedure. after this he learned to talk with a lot of hand motions.
when kōhei was 18, he was asleep at a friends house when he awoke to a piercing pain in his ear. he ignored it, thinking he'd go to the doctor about an ear infection at some point. within a few days, the left side of his body would either move uncontrollaby or absurdly.
kōhei didn't know of the parasite until a few months later when he got a response back to a question he randomly asked the air. he thought he was going crazy until part of his face morphed to look back at him.
first kill
kōhei did kill once. well, not a human at least. he killed a black bear that attempted to enter his grandparent's house out in the woods. his parasite started to move to devour before about an hour long argument on if this was just or not.
