Palm/underside  of his hands produce a black substance that's like blood in properties -  doesn't flow as quickly as liquid or slow as goop but definitely moves.  Stains all surfaces, which makes it really hard for him to do anything,  and it's very hard to remove. Hands produce a lot so he either has to  change gloves often or allow it to drip on the floor.
^ cursed with those hands because he killed a human? maybe that's why his clothes are dark-coloured as well

Not sure about the symbolism with the flowers, or golden wings, hmm.
