Cress

"HA Trees are so gullible!"

Cress was born and raised in a whole other world, the underwater land of Soreni. He was the crowned prince of his land, and was spoiled. He unlike most tritons had horns on his head as it was a mark of the royal Myxis dynasty. The land they ruled a protective barrier up that made the area almost impossible to find without outside help. In the palace he was raised to be a kind hearted paladin, but at the age of 19 he recieved an omen that the palace and surrounding city would be destroyed. Helpless, he asked what he could do. The entity said he could make a deal with it to gain a power to fight off the threats. He agreed and became a warlock. However in making this deal, the entity possessed him and forced him to lead the krakens to his home and in the process the entire city was massacred. He could not live with himself after the incident and ran to the surface blindly, where he put on a confident fascade in front of two adventurers until the three agreed to join eachother. However, it was becoming harder and harder to surpress the growing warlock in him that began taking over his personality and his paladinship. At one point it got to him, and no longer feeling like a prince, he cut off his horns.

Cress is a triton, which means he has gills and can live underwater. He is a multiclass warlock/paladin, but his paladin levels are disappearing due to his broken oath. He also bears the legendary trident Wave (which has an official reference https://fiftheditionworldcompendium.obsidianportal.com/items/wave) His horns are optional, because he has them in only part of his story.
