Species Info

Alien, symbiotic beings who travel the stars in order to find a host. Host receives health benefits as well as being cured of any ailments. (blindness, asthma, etc). The host also gains the body type of the dracoplasm and the ability to dissociate their body. (Avoiding harmful cuts or attacks by splitting at the point of harm) Females are light green in color and tastes like apple/some veggie, they require plant matter as sustenance. Males are pale red in color and taste more meaty, as they are primarily carnivores. Sometimes disputes over a host will cause an unstable coexistence. Made of slime (including the latex-like body suit) A host that has ingested a dracoplasm gains their form. A host can be identified by the latex-like body suit which is obtained when the body is being adjusted.

Dracoplasms can move the latex material (which is a part of their body) to shift weight to other areas. This allows them to specialize in certain movements. Such an ability can be used during battle as an erratic way to confuse combatants.

The latex itself is a lot stronger than it looks, and is able to withstand bullets to some degree. Though, being slimes, dracoplasms are rarely damaged by physical projectiles.

When on space-faring missions. Dracoplasms form an extra layer of durable slime-alloy to use as a "powersuit." It protects them from harmful substances and allows them to fire some of their slime as projectiles. (Which includes energy bolts, liquid-alloy bullets, and adhesive shots).

Dracoplasms are specialized to take on infiltration missions, as they are equipped with a vast amount of knowledge from taking over other planets. Their viscous bodies allow them to slip by security and hide inside organic creatures. Those who are hired as mercenaries are often paid with food, as their species have little use for currency.
