Backstory

Na’thek was born to the Panahedan family on desert lands, surrounded by riches and servants, and slaves. He was birthed minutes after his twin sister, third child to his parents, overall and not the last as one more brother joined their family a few years down the line. The Panahedan family was known for their rightful connection to the ruling family of the lands, Na’thek’s mother being sister to the ruler, thus making the lime gem one of the awaiting a line to the throne if something were to happen to his uncle or cousin. However, instead of awaiting their time to take over, each member of the family made a name for themselves in their own right: Na’thek’s father was a skilled general, his mother a renowned tactician, elder brother a charismatic politician and twin sister a feared solider turned teacher.
Na’thek grew up very lucky and extremely spoiled by his fortunate circumstance of birth. He was considered a gifted child, taking easily to reading and writing, swallowing books by the hour and spending most of his time locked away in the temple’s library. However much he trained under his father, he knew he was no solider. He didn’t have the bloodlust it took to become a great warrior. He was too calm to battle and much preferred the quill over the sword. Despite this he still trained his body, refusing to be considered weak based on the lack of pigment of his skin. The desert was harsh for him growing up, but he managed his condition by typically hiding in the shades of the building walls.
Early in his teens, Na’thek developed a deep love for beautiful things. Gemstones specifically. He was fascinated by the natured of his specie, their lore, their past, why they bared such markings and the power they held. He decorated his room in research papers, frantic to find any and all answers but finding barely a thing. His hobby became an obsession soon enough.
Once Na'thek moved out of his parent's house he got involved in many affairs. Politics and land taxes were his main areas but he also spread into land ownership and writing treaties over time. He had large funds that he put into his land, owning a good chunk of the desert which even his cousin, the current lord, would not dare try take away from him or try and put tax on. His research never ceased into Gemmadites and other specie that occupied their lands, especially now that he had people under him excavating ancient ruins and texts that led him further into understanding their planet and people. He made many contributions over the years towards galleries and museums, with any piece of history he found along his research.

Present Day

Na'thek is now the leader of the alliance among many great lords of ancient Ditee-ath. He draws up treaties and writes negotiation pacts for all their affaird to keep peace among their lands. He ties any loose ends and is the one to pick times and places for battles taking place. He has a great deal of power among the desert lands, but it also extends outside of them. To say he is feared due to his skills would be an understatement.
In his private life Na'thek owns many servants and slaves, rather than picking them based on skills or recommendations, he picks each and every one on their gemstone and how beautiful it is. Many of his furniture pieces, temple walls, pillars and floors are decorated with this gems. His obsession never ceased as he continues his research.
