Katsumi

Katsumi is a yako kitsune, or a mischievous kitsune. Born to a large family, her early life was one of poverty, her father and mother working tirelessly to feed their many children. Due to her parents mostly absent presence, Katsumi was raised mostly by herself. Being one of the middle children, she was quickly overlooked as her younger siblings came around, who needed far more attention, and her older siblings not wanting to deal with her rambunctious personality. Quickly growing used to being overlooked, Katsumi turned to petty crime, stealing from the local shopkeepers and travelling merchants.  It was after one such thievery that Katsumi was caught, a crowd of her past targets waiting to deliver her punishment. Katsumi, fearing the punishment from the merchants, opted to flee, running as fast as she could, before she no longer recognized her surroundings, growing lost in the depths of the forest. She now dwells here, eeking out of a living amongst the foliage and fog that blankets the ground.

Katsumi is a wild, very mischievous girl. Prone to playing pranks, she enjoys teasing and playing pranks on travelers and wandering merchants. Katsumi is fairly childish and immature, and does not take many things seriously, instead treating everything with an air of nonchalanceness. Katsumi is also very playful, though, her definition of play can at times differ from what others consider. Katsumi, though, at times, can grow lonely, missing the company of her large family, and her playful joyful mood will sour, leading to a very lonely and touchy fox, who WILL attempt to worm her way into your attention.

• Katsumi is capable of shapeshifting, though is mostly prone to use it for pranks. The exception is made for when she changes into a masculine or more gender neutral form, depending on how she feels, due to Katsumi being genderfluid, and using her shape changing abilities to shift her presentation when required.
