Personality: 

Maynard is a stoic, uncomfortable dark Pokemon. It is hard to get a reaction out of him- unfortunately, the thing that usually does get a reaction out of him is Pokemon being strange, overly energetic or idiotic. And that, of course, is what most light Pokemon are. Still, he tries to keep a blank face, even in the face of adversity from annoyances like- light Pokemon.
Unlike most dark Pokemon, Maynard is a pacifist; he believes that fighting should be the last thing Pokemon should be doing. He will staunchly refuse to fight- even as that has usually led him to injury. He stands by his word. Even when he gets the impulse to attack something, even to kick a rock in annoyance- he stands by his word.
Speaking of his word, Maynard can often come off as rather preachy with his thoughts. Many years of thinking, working, love and loss have led him to many conclusions, many of which are likely correct- but the way he poses them to other Pokemon is often sharp, sometimes even uncaring. And, he is rather gruff all around. Not really the kind of Pokemon a lot of Pokemon like to hang around on the regular.
Maynard is, however, very intelligent, thinking through decisions very hard and usually coming to good conclusions. Not only is he intelligent, he is dedicated- not only to his orchard, the Nennabrev, but also to the Dark Lord.
If the Dark Lord were to tell Maynard to do something,
there is no way in the Dark World he would refuse.
There is nothing without the Dark Lord.

Backstory:

Maynard was born in the Dark World on July the fifteenth to a pair of dark Pokemon. Randice, his mother, was a cruel, disappointed Pokemon, meanwhile his father, Augustus, was always hidden behind some book or newspaper. Despite all of this, Maynard had a surprisingly normal upbringing.
But, something was wrong; Maynard was a Shiinotic/Cacturne hybrid. This meant that while his Shiinotic traits flourished in the dark and the cold, his Cacturne body grew brittle, pale and dead. To combat this, Maynard began to visit the Light World, under his parents' supervision, of course; Light Poemon were vicious to those they did not know.
One day, Maynard went into the Light World without his parents- and was almost immediately jumped by another Pokemon. Her name was
Around a decade after Maynard's first solo trip to the Light World, he vanished off of the face of Wistryla. No one knew where he had gone off to, not even his parents. But when he returned- the spunky, almost comically evil Maynard was gone, leaving a hardened Maynard in its place.
Maynard's first action when he returned was taking control of a small orchard in the meadow, which was run by one Dravron Wellsport. Maynard soundly defeated the Tauros and was given the orchard for his own uses. He renamed the orchard to the Nennabrev Orchard, swore off aggression and has tended the lands to this day.
For a while, Maynard appeared to have adopted a Lycanroc hybrid- although, she either left him, or disappeared around a decade ago, so it is unimportant.
Maynard's current highest priority is the Nennabrev- but, with the sudden absence of his top worker, Damien, he has had to do much more on his own.
