A student at the only highschool in his small seaside town, Kenta has always wanted to be a mangaka. But he's pretty hard on himself and ends up scrapping a lot of his work. For years, he's been crumpling up his "failed" manga pages and throwing them into the ocean. Little does he know, there's a certain mermaid that's read all of his discarded manga pages, and now wants to become a mangaka herself...

He's kinda pessimistic

Low self esteem, but hides it/doesn't always think about it/tries not to think about it (not always successfully)
