About Maigyami

Maigyami are mammals about the size of a ferret. While not magical themselves, they are drawn to magical beings or sources. They resemble a small rodent with a long, flexible body, cat-like claws that allow them to climb very well, and their three tails are strong and prehensile. They come in short-haired, silky, and fluffy varieties, and while natural patterns like brindles, calicos, and stripes, are most common, they come in every color and pattern one can imagine. And if they form a strong bond with a being possessing elemental magic, they sometimes develop physical manifestations of their owner's elemental alignment.

Just like their patterns, Maigyani's temperaments vary widely. Some keep them as pets or companions, and some Maigyami lend themselves well to this purpose, but others view them as pests. They are invariably curious, and can easily cause trouble if they decide to mess with magical items that attract them.
