A folk dancer from a series of remote islands, Akami was whisked away from home after a particularly intense performance, by a… group of monkeys? Originally on a mission to find someone to replace the missing guardian of the West-Southwest temple, the monkeys had stopped by and gotten distracted by their performance, before deciding that Akami would make a good fit for the role. Despite her objections at first, after hearing their plea she readily agreed to help. The monkeys are content with her partying ways that keep the temple grounds lively, though other generals may have some objections. Nevertheless, it’s clear that the temple has never been the same since she was appointed.
A rough-and-tumble sort, Akami is reckless and a bit bad at reading the mood. She tends to follow her own whims, and though she often volunteers to give people a hand, those who object to a less-than-gentle touch will find plenty to complain about. For some reason, she either seems to ignore or not hear half the things people tell her…

- Was part of an eisa troupe as a regular dancer for years with said brother before eventually becoming a chondara. Her job is to make people laugh and entertain them, much like a clown; she often has water and other useful items hidden in her cloak for whenever someone needs it.
