Alistar is the Honedge's name. Not the Braixen's. Who this Braixen is exactly, is unknown. The Braixen is very very old and is kept alive by the Honedge. Though how much "living" this Braixen is doing is debatable as he is more of a vessel then his own being. The Honedge controls everything from talking to movement and is wrapped tightly around the Braixen's arm to maintain control.
