Deacon Invaunt was a very important member of the church of the Mirthful Messiahs and acted as a deacon for the central church. As part of his duties, The Grand Highblood ordered him to travel to smaller churches to help them spread their influence. So he did just that, and was fairly good at converting trolls of other castes to the faith. Often to immediately sacrifice them. That or he led them in with haunting visions.

But he could never let go of a certain troll in his wrigglerhood, someone who rejected his every attempt to be his matesprit. It ate away at him until one faithful night when he was pitted against the rebellion's biggest attack yet. There his old fire was, leading the damned thing itself, and Invaunt smiled as he slaughtered him. The Rebellious could barely even react. His act of revenge spurred on another, however, and he was ultimately no match for an angry rainbowdrinker.
