Xenon

A bounty hunter turned vigilante trying to track down the outlaws responsible for the death of his sister, Argon.

Xenon was raised with his older sister Argon in a peaceful novakid community on the edge of the cosmos, far from settlements of other species. Argon, the more outgoing of the two siblings, ventured out into space and left the more cautious Xenon to care for the family pet snugget. For years, Xenon was content just listening to his sister's wild stories of civilizations from distant planets while he took bounties at home.

Argon had come back to visit when their hometown was pillaged by a gang of space pirates. They were at the local saloon, catching up and having a drink, when a group of foreign novakids stormed into the building and opened fire. Argon, quickly followed by Xenon and the other patrons, engaged in a shootout with the intruders. Ultimately, the attackers retreated and escaped in a large spaceship after ransacking most of the town. Many novakids were injured during the invasion, including Argon, who was struck in the brand multiple times. Several days after the incident, she finally succumbed to her injuries. She was declared a town hero.

Xenon took Argon's death hard. The remains of her brand were made into a bracelet, which he now wears on his left wrist. He is very protective of it, as it's all he has left of her. He worked to rebuild his hometown with his neighbors, but it became clear with time that none of them had any intention of ever finding and arresting those responsible for destroying it in the first place. Overcome with grief and rage, Xenon set off into space for the first time in his sister's old ship. If no one else is going to get justice for Argon, he'll do it himself—No matter what it takes.
