PersonalityKind and patient, Amity has always been a lover of friends and family alike, finding each and every addition to her heart just as lovely as the last. She's quite present inside her own sphere and tends to allow anyone who wants to be apart of her daydream, as if she was a long-lost friend or companion. Outside of socials, Amity is a fairly quiet individual, only really speaking up when talking about her true interests, and always balancing the great line between intense focus and sporadic energy. History
Amity grew up living in the isolated countryside, her father owning massive estates in both the United States and Japan. From a young age, she was denied access to friends and long-standing relationships outside those of her parents, her education privatized through a revolving cast of tutors and maids. Not wanting her future to be sullied by distractions or bad influences, she was restricted to staying inside the estate's boundaries, never really seeing the world beyond a few plane rides and airport cars. Her greatest escape from the anonymity, however, was the outdoors. She'd spend hours sitting under trees and wandering the expansive gardens of her home through the day, relatively unsupervised due to her father's disinterest in her development and her mother's cyclical isolation. Clouds, the sun, and the water that fell from the sky were her closest friends for a long time, every warm ray and drop of rain feeling like a soft embrace. It was during these hours that she'd developed an interest in art, finding shapes in the changing clouds and drawing them down on paper as soon as she could, hanging them up in a wallpaper of sketches in her room so she could remember all the things that made her smile.
In her teen years, Amity became more interested in developing her skills into a career, forming habits similar to her mother as she tended to stay isolated in her studio-bedroom most mornings and evenings, however still spending time outside during the day. Her favorite view was the massive window behind her bed, often painting the sky as she saw it through the makeshift-viewfinder. Her father, Tetsuo, grew increasingly annoyed with her interest, most of their interactions progressing from a passive abuse of power to direct aggressions on her work and a "disappointing" future. Spending her time reading, drawing, and exercising her subdued will to escape, Amity began a small blog to record the things that made her happy, the sketches on her walls and the cloud in her sky being the main focus. Before long, she gained a small following. This, however, still did not please her father.
Feeling hopeless, Amity began posting her more finished works online as well, despite the constant reminders by her mind and surroundings that they really were no good. To her surprise, people really enjoyed them. Amassing a following of over 20,000 by her 18th birthday, Amity was taking private commission through her father's acquaintances, some of her works even landing homes inside Tokyo's #1 news station, wherein the biggest change to her life would come.
Scouted by Leonard Suo, Amity was brought in to Sunshine Entertainment, wherein, though confused about how she got there, she was first was excited for her first outing into the world-- though she initially presumed her father would be sending someone to pick her up as soon as he noticed her absence. After the first killings this feeling quickly changed. She was scared and still trying to find some semblance of hope, meeting the individuals Talon Chaz and Leonard Suo among other cast members. The three, though divided by skepticism at first, soon formed a small family within the complex, keeping each other afloat with unconditional love and support. However, watching more and more of her friends disappear, Amity finally accepted her fate when she spotted another cast member out at night, prepping tools for Talon's murder. In exchange for her newfound family's life, Amity bargained for a painless death to end the killing game, knowing that no matter what she'd choose them over anything else.
After escaping an untrue death and world unintentionally crafter by her adoptive father, Leonard Suo, Amity moved in with him, Talon, and Conrad Blaine. Now part of her first real family, Amity spends a lot of her time improving her art skills, attending college, and exploring the world that she was denied for so long. She loves traveling and recording the skies she sees over a variety of different landscapes, posting them as frequently as she can finish them. Her big dream is to be a famous artist, which she works to achieve every day with the support of her loving family. She strives to learn, grow, and heal as much as she can.
Relationships
Tetsuo Yoshimura [ biological father ] | A high-class stock trader and real estate investor, Tetsuo Yoshimura's mind rarely left the realm of business. Because of such, he never had an interest in Amity's development besides using her achievements as a capstone of his own progress, keeping her around corporate parties to stay silent and look presentable. His grip was always tight, making sure Amity knew when he disapproved of her interest in art as a poor monetary investment. However, he was glad to let her go when the time came, Amity even happier to finally have the chance to breathe and be accepted. | ||
Mary Yoshimura [ biological mother ] | Mary was an artist too, holing herself up in her studio to avoid the constant conflict between her career and Tetsuo's image. The two fought often, Amity left to hear the distant yells through long hallways and empty rooms. However, Mary was Amity's best friend for a long time, the two sharing quiet spaces but never talking about much. She liked to play the piano and sing along with Amity when Tetsuo wasn't home, and very much encouraged her skills as an artist. However, Amity could never seem to get a smile to stay on Mary's face for too long. | ||
| Leonard Spencer Suo [ adoptive father ] | Though unintentionally meeting in one of the worst places on Earth, the two formed a bond of acceptance and patience naturally, their two spirits seeming to be in harmony. Amity had never met someone so kind and thoughtful before, holes in her heart healing with every word from the former director's mouth. They've taught each other so much. Leonard invited Amity into his family and home after the events of Sunshine Entertainment, to which she gladly accepted and thanks him for always. The two often spend time creating, gardening, shopping, and cooking together. | ||
| Talon Chaz [ adoptive sister ] | First finding Talon to be quite the annoyance and rude person, the two quickly found solace in each other with the passing changes and time at Sunshine Entertainment, mostly brought together by the patient presence of Leonard Suo. The two formed a tight bond and promise to never leave each other's side, finding a balancing contrast in their personalities that left laughter and level-headedness in its wake. The two now live together as adoptive sisters in the Suo household. | ||
| Conrad Blaine [ adoptive brother ] | Only meeting him once before his seemingly untimely demise, the two grew close after moving into Leonard's home. Amity is always impressed by his energy and strength, loving to listen to his stories of heroism while she paints. They are great friends and Amity loves following his wild antics, as well as matching his own speed when it comes to discussions of interest. | ||
| Altena Sawahara [ classmate + friend ] | The two met after Amity entered college. Altena being one year above her, they were a huge help in adjusting to 'average' school-life and workload. The two talk frequently and love learning about each other's interests, even joining the gardening club together as a means of progressing both of their skills and to spent time with each other. |
