Malt is one of the kits of the wild black shecat known as Spotted Galaxy. She and her mother saw with their very own eyes  the alien being fall from the sky.  He became known as 'Prometheus'.  Spotted Galaxy told her daughters he was very important and that by finding him that now  THE'RE family were now very important cats. They were representatives of cat kind to an visit alien visitor.  Malt didn't like to follow her mother and her crazy ideas as blindly as her sister Milkshake.  She became very afraid of Prometheus and his alien powers.
