Unlike Sydney's original source material, Destiny 2's version finds herself as a bounty hunter working with The Drifter in operations regarding Gambit
Not a part of any group or faction, she fights for her own survival and is tasked to perform grueling and daring missions

Short summary of Sydney's character in Destiny 2 (she was never around in D1 since im a new light player)
Sydney is a human hunter who comes around just a month or few before the events of Forsaken. She suffers mentally from a mysterious occurrence whenever her ghost talks as if her ghost shares the voice of someone she knew before she became a light-bearer. Usually becoming delusional, loss of control and talking to herself. She eventually meets The Drifter after he set up shop at the tower and after a certain point she started working with him. By the time of Forsaken she travels to the Tangled Shore to assist Spade-01 and Vini Polarollie on tracking down Uldren Sov and to maintain business relations with The Spider and The Drifter. Currently still works with The Drifter and bounty hunter to maintain the stability of Gambit Prime.
