Micra was born into Carta and has been surrounded by/involved in crime her entire life.  Deaf, but you don't need to be able to hear to know your way around a blade, and lip-reading always comes in handy even if her speech impediment makes it hard to communicate with anyone who doesn't know how to sign.  

    She's pretty content with her way of life for the most part, the pay is good and she's surrounded by friends and isn't worried about being stabbed in the back even though that'd be a fairly reasonable paranoia to have.  Believes if she's genuine she has nothing to fear.
