Asuka

Asuka was born and raised in a small village, very far away from the royal city within Chikara. Her parents were rice farmers, and when she was young she worked with them upon their rice farms. When she reached the age of fifteen, however, her parents thought it best to bring her to the royal city, where she could try and learn a different trade, a trade that would make a little more money than rice farming. She didn't really take notice of any particular job that she thought she'd like, but her parents did take notice of a job position that would bring in the money; a household servant, particularly one that would be within the royal castle of Chikara. So, her family enrolled her into such a position, and she contently settled within the job. It took a bit of work to realize and figure out what to do, but soon she found that the work was relatively easy. Time continued on as it does, and she remained a servant within the castle, working her way up in class and sending money to her family in need. By the time she had reached her late thirties, she found herself directly serving and helping the royal family, themselves.

She continued within her line of work for a few generations of Chikarian royalty, doing her very best when it came to just about anything she did. She cleaned very well, when she did clean, but she'd also help the royal family dress or pick out their clothing. Sometimes she'd be cooking, or supervising the food that was being prepared. She eventually saw the royal family more of her family than even her own parents, and she treated their children like they were her own children. Everyone grew to love her in the castle, just as she loved them. She barely ever took a sick day or leave. When she had days off, she would just stay around the castle and hang out with those she loved. During her time there she even found a suitor, a fellow servant, and the two married. They had some children and she took leave for that. Only once her children grew did she return. She continued to stay and work there until she ultimately grew too old to continue her work, after which she was relieved from her duties, but has always remained welcome to come and go as she pleases within the castle. She remained with her husband well after, though he died a couple years after they were relieved of their duties. It grieved her so, and she found herself alone within her own home.

Nowadays she's usually spotted at the castle, although a little less lately, thanks to Kosuke, the man she found washed up on the beach one day. She's been taking care of him like he seems to take care of her. She still goes to the castle quite often, and is usually accompanied by samurai, if not by Kosuke, himself. She likes to commence small talk with the king and queen, and then hanging out with Kwatoko. She also likes to speak with Wei when she's around, but she's not around the castle much these days, and Asuka knows why... she hopes that the princess can find what she's looking for. She also hopes that Kosuke can find himself soon enough, too.
