Hisoka

A big-hearted foreigner Hapka returning to Ninefor from Germany.

A kind, elder sisterly-type person, who eagerly seeks to prove herself as the one friends and strangers can depend on. Being the youngest sibling and also the only daughter, she has always struggled to prove her worth to the rest of her family outside of the traditional Hapka roles in her clan. 

After coming to Ninefor, she struggles with insecurity of how she presents herself and her "lacking femininity". She is not very good with conversation outside of her clansmen, and prefers to avoid verbal conflict. She's not the best at problem solving, and tends to be unable to "read the room". Hiso is also very naïve due to her lack of socialization outside of the mountains. Despite all her issues, she is kindhearted and wishes the best for both her friends and enemies alike.

Hisoka was born in Oberstdorf, Germany to a clan of Hapka Beastmen in the Allgäu Alps. She was raised in a cabin in the woods with her German father, Afro-Turkish mother, and 3 brothers; one being her identical twin, Alekzandar. Her mother passed away when she was only 5, leaving her father to raise all four children along with the help of their clansmen.

As a Hapka, she has the benefit of hardened, sharp nails, more condensed muscle tissue, heightened senses, and the ability to see at night. This has made her an excellent hunter along with the rest of her family.

At the age of 15, Hisoka and her family traveled to Ninefor as part of a culture exchange program for her father's job. Moving from a small remote cabin in the mountains to the largest demonic settlement on Earth caused much stress on the family, with struggles of fitting in being in the forefront for the Holftmann children. 

While her older brothers thrived in their new environment, Hisoka and her twin struggled dealing with bullying and alienation for their foreign behavior, attitude, and lack of understanding for the local language. Only years later would she make a friend of another Beastman, a Haplago named Bonnie Mendoza. The two clicked almost instantly. 

Though she finally had made friends, the bullying Hisoka had faced had gone out of hand. In frustration, Hisoka finally retaliated on her aggressors, but in doing so left one of the girls in a brain dead state, where eventually she was taken off life support and passed away. This trauma caused Hisoka to shut down and beg to be sent back to Germany, where she would stay under the guardianship of her clan elder.

5 years later, Hisoka returned to Ninefor on the request of her caretaker. She currently stays with Bonnie in Anorrze Village, working as a tour guide in the Beastspine Mountains on the other side of the island. Though she is back in a stressful environment, her job is fun, and she is near her close friends and family again.
