Casper is a loosely chimera-inspired stuffed animal who was given consciousness by a forest witch named Rune.
He possesses illusion magic that can be performed at will. Casper can also fly around via levitation. He loves to float around and pretend he's actually flying with his little wings. He disguises himself with a favored illusion that resembles a large lion. While someone might think it feels like they're touching muscle and fur, they are actually feeling his true body made of linen. He is only as durable as the strongest stitch in his fabric. Casper is always observing his surroundings and problem solving.
Though Casper may not be able to live up to the physical prowess expected of a real lion, they can use illusion spells to their advantage.
He has the ability to manipulate the terrain around him by projecting an illusion of the area or object. This can influence others, such as making an object seem more valuable than it is, or portraying a terrain that seems too dangerous and impassable. They are also able to manifest illusions of any creature or sound (or lack thereof). Though these are able to be passed through and hold no true physical space, this can be used to cause fear, confuse, hypnotize or intimidate others.
When desperate Casper can summon a magic sword of shadow that will attack freely in his interest, but he has to be careful not to get caught in the way.
Casper does not age, and is essentially immortal. Unless his material parts are completely disintegrated he is able to stay alive and be sewn back together.
Most days, Casper simply likes to accompany Rune helping her with whatever she's up to. Otherwise, he likes to hang out at their forest cottage keeping things tidy, overseeing all of Rune's other creations & forest friends, and watching out for anything unusual.
