Avatar OC after Korra, I just wanted to make an Avatar.

Her father was apart of the Red Lotus along with his brother before meeting Nari's soon to be mother. He soon left the organization to settle down and have a family. Nari was born, and things were peaceful until she was 6 years old and it was revealed to her parents that she was the Avatar. Knowing that the Red Lotus would likely come for their daughter and that it wasn't safe for her, Nari's parents began packing until her uncle appeared, having eavesdropped on the conversation. He tried to take Nari, and a confrontation began that ended with Nari entering the Avatar state and using firebending to escape. She burned the whole house down, killing both her parents and her uncle as well as burning her hands and feet. Scared and alone, she ran into the woods to find their old family home, a place where no one could find her for the next 12 years.

Nari lived on her own in the woods, a place only her parents knew about, while the rest of the world panicked. Only the people who were there knew what happened, and they were all dead. Eventually, they had to declare the Avatar dead. Either she died normally and they needed to look for her successor, or she died in the Avatar state and there was no Avatar any more. The world fell into panic while a frantic search for the next avatar began. The longer it went on, the more fear spread, until a new Avatar was found. A firebender girl was chosen after her wealthy father paid off those involved. The girl chosen, Jun, excelled at her firebending training, but when it came to the other elements she was hopeless. The world began to lose hope.

In the forest, Nari was brought up primarily by the local animals and spirits, visiting the Spirit World with ease whenever she went to sleep. Due to the traumatic events from her childhood paired with an already existing anxiety condition caused her to become selectively mute, and was taught sign language by a spirit. She grew up primarily vegetarian and grew a garden by the house for her needs, as well as loving to grow flowers and lilies in particular. Whenever she grew out of her old clothes, she would take a new outfit from the family home, which had primarily very traditional dresses in it along with being very well stocked.

Nari was discovered when loggers began approaching towards her home and she used her earthbending to stop them. One of the loggers remembered the long forgotten Avatar from old posters he had seen, and brought her with him. Once her identity was confirmed, the world rejoiced. However, Nari was very much so out of her element, and refused to learn firebending until it became clear that she needed to take up her responsibility as Avatar. Jun was chosen to teach Nari since she had studied firebending for so long. Jun felt anger towards Nari since she had taken away her position, but eventually the two became close.
