Profile

For as long as she could remember, Musette's life was filled with music. Raised by a bard meant raised on stories and songs and the moment she was old enough to hold and instrument of her own, she wanted nothing more than to be like her father, to perform like him, and along side him. She was quite gifted as well, and so lithe, flexible, and energetic she was that she would dance as much as she would play her violin. It made her happy, and, in turn, she felt made people around her happy. It made a living, it made friends, it was her passion.

She only eventually left her father as she wished to adventure on her own, to grow her own skill, to hone her abilities, and even to experience diversity. She wanted experiences personal to her, to take back and make her father proud. Not that he was ever lacking in pride for his little muse, but all her life he encouraged her, and that was hardly about to stop now. Even if he was terribly worried about her. Perhaps rightfully so, as Musette quickly discovered that songs and tales often skip over the dangers.

And adventuring for Musette was, well, perhaps exceedingly dangerous. As a child, she was sickly, and as an adult, she was still quite frail. For all that she had in charisma and dexterity, she was greatly lacking in strength and constitution... still, she was determined to make it. Very upbeat, happy go lucky, and confident, she was certain she could handle herself.

Personality:

-Perhaps can be considered stubborn in a very confident sort of way

-Extremely optimistic, once she began to really understand how dangerous or difficult the world could be, she just say it all the more vital that she played her role. Hope is needed, and she will be hopefull for everyone, if she needs to

-Very bright and cheerful, largely because that is just who she is, but also as she always seems to behave as if she is "on stage" and tends to always put off the same energy

-Very energetic, really, the girl doesn't to sit still, at all, ever

-A bit of a people pleaser, though after it biting her enough times, she starts to learn to know when do follow her own heart. Still, struggles with wanting to please everyone around her, and gain their approval

-Actually struggles with negative emotions and feelings, in that she always tries to bury them deep and never process them. Perhaps due to her mentality of always being "on"

-Tends to not understand deep connections. Due to her childhood, she is not familiar with lasting relationships. On one hand, she thinks if she's got you laughing our enjoying her presence once, then you are a friend, but on the other, it takes a long time for her to understand she is allowed to be more than an "entertainer"

-Well, it was going to be mentioned eventually, but she's as immune to the bard stereotype as her father is. Which is to say... not really immune at all. But she will make sure she is known for her talent first, whatever fun may come later is just a bonus

Values:

-Music, art, dancing, really, her passion is being a bard

-Connections and relationships over fame and wealth

Other Details:

-She is a tiefling because her father made a deal with a demon to cure his love when nothing else could

-In part of her desire to learn about the world she loves trying food and drink. Hard to say if ever she tried anything she didn't likeĀ

-Eventually... she had to face loss. A dear friend, nearly a father figure, killed in battle, and for once, Musette couldn't just pretend everything was fine and had to actually face the pain and the hurt. It was near to breaking her, and yet, on that day she was not the only one who lost someone dear. Strangers too were mourning, and they mourned... by celebrating. Celebrating the life they knew, sharing stories of the lost, and comforting one another. Though Musette still has a long way to go before she would truly let all emotions (good and bad) run a necessary course, it was a start to opening her mind, to learning. "It feels less like loss if you let him live on in your words."

-Met her mom, who turned out to have left after Musette's birth to pursue fame. After witnessing Musette's skill, she urged her to do the same, and to cut out those holding her back. Musette always adored her father, and her friends, but this moment solidified what she already knew of her own values. Her father did not quite match her mother's talent, it was true, and maybe that was because he balanced fatherhood with being a bard... but Musette's very passion came from him. She rejected her mother's ideals.

-Charisma and Dexterity is what she is good at, she is flexible, graceful, and skilled, and she will use her charisma to save herself. Baring that, she can be quick with a blade and has a few spells up her sleeve, though often they are used as atmospheric affects in her performances. Still, though she is physically weak, she knows what she is good at, and uses her skills to hold her own

-The illness that plagued her mother ended up taking away all use of her mother's limbs till her father, Cynric, resorted to a deal with a demon. This is the same reason Musette is physically frail, and, though she doesn't like to think of it, she sometimes worries about it

-Crossbows make her nervous. She has been shot by one too many, and also when she tried to use one in a desperate situation, she missed. Not the crossbows fault but, well, being a little childish is often the closest she gets to admitting when she is upset over something

Relationships:

Cynric: Her human father, a very doting one at that who is responsbile for her passion to follow in his footsteps

Natasha Kyrrlu: Half-Elven mother, according to her father once kind, but turned selfish and vain after he made the deal to save her. He blames the demon but after meeting and speaking to her for the first time... Musette is inclined to believe that her mother always was vain and selfish, and her father was just too smitten to see it

Vitis: Best Friend with Best Benefits forever

Duvall: A challenge at first. She would not have spared him a thought but apparently her very presence in Vitis's life made him want to remove her... so she turned up all her traits to eleven, pestering him, flirting with him, trying to constantly fluster him... and worm her way into becoming his friend
