Arthur grew up with the oddest power, the power to see into other people's memories through contact. They never learned how to channel this properly, and as such would randomly experience strong memories through contact. They later learned that if they were exposed to someone's memories too long, it would start overriding them, temporarily making them someone else entirely. This fact was exploited by a malevolent AI, who used them to carry out deeds only to have Arthur wake up none-the-wiser.

After the world was saved and powers were removed from the equation, the new timeline Arthur settled into a quiet life as a history student, eventually becoming a professor at the very university they studied at.
