temp/very rough!!

World/continent names: Karalis

Everyone lives on the same planet, just different times

Fantasy era

Rules for magic - symbols, scrolls, chants? Tattoos?

Where creatures like elves, shapeshifters, drragons etc exist in great numbers. The fantasy era has magic and humanoids of a great variety.

Medieval era

Where fantasy  creatures are hunted as humans grow more powerful/more technology focused, and  they become myths  and stories (either go in hiding or extinct, and  start to be  forgotten). (Elves and the like might still  exist? And are the ruling class or have  a larger role. Perhaps magic was  passed down in certain families as  well)

The land of Sazanti
Tribes:Forest - Erawynd. ‌Known for their stealth and alertness/observance. Treehouse homes.Plains - Razio. ‌Known for their patience and stamina. Nomads and follow herds?Ocean/coast- Rialta. Known for their speed and
Politicsthe three tribes agree to be called as Sazanti collectively, though they do not consider themselves as one country or nation. Alliances cannot be made with Sazanti, only with the individual tribes. However, if war is declared on one tribe, then it is equivalent to declaring war on Sazanti, i.e. all the tribes. ‌constant arguments between tribes regarding boarders & what they can hunt‌weapons - hunting bows, long bows, blow darts, daggers and throwing knives

Ilyzia‌Hassmond - capital
Politics:‌Ruled under the monarchy, where the king or queen's child ruled next‌If the current king is challenged in battle, and defeated, the challenger becomes king‌reasoning:  In the past, Ilyzia had no land, and was constantly under attack. They  suffered many pains under inexperienced or lazy kings, and thus made  this ruling to ensure the strength of their ruler. Females later on were  also permitted to rule, due to a past queen's nation-saving actions.‌Now,  although having found the mountain valley in which they have dwelt in  since, the ruling continues as it would encourage the current ruler to  be strong, and allowed the people to overthrow a useless ruler

Futuristic era

No magic exists/only the elite have it

Ideas

  • Space  travel?
  • monarchy, with nobles and a huge gap between rich and poor
  • one ruled  by  a company (imagine Wall-E's Buy n Large), so there's basically ads   everywhere, maybe a dictatorship or one that is very close to a utopia,   although there life has little meaning or something - all pleasure,   selfishness, a post-scarcity world. Maybe access is very restricted to this as its a dream to have all your needs fulfilled.
  • One where all data is collected into one governmental   database, so every store you visit, evrything, all tracked.
A   high tech system that needs a person's biometrics, password, voice  and   an id card (what user is, have, do and know) in order for them to  be  let  in
Although voice may be easier to get, if you stick a recorder by the door. hmm
  • Groupthink -   desire to conform, a cult/religion? The gods could be playing a part/controlling it
Religion like the Judges from Bible - spiritual, political and military  leader, appointed by God. Maybe it's a cult or something, a city with a  compulsory religion with a leader like the judges
  • No more organics - organic fruit and  food  is extremely expensive and only the super-rich can afford to buy.  All  food is made from chemicals - cheap, easy.
Trees don't exist, oxygen produced chemically
  • robots, ai, vr?
  • Maybe dystopian? Gas masks, guns, gangs.
another world idea: viruses vs purgers
classic zombies, a hunger games style world, or just mutated animals/underground living, bunkers
  • Flooded city
  • one overrun by plants/in complete shambles, old, rusted
  • People living in abandoned trains, crashed planes
  • steampunk, cyberpunk
someone elses idea that I don't fully recall but cities in the sky, dirigibles, steampunk and turbines. All avoiding the ground, which is dystopian style, ruins, destroyed.

Misc
-  maybe there isn't such a thing as humans, elves, etc? Everyone has a  bunch of weird traits (like pointed ears, animal tails, wings) and it's  just natural. Rather than appearance, 'races' are sorted by your magical  power - eg nature magic might be 'elves', shifters. This makes it harder to sort though tbh and just having hard rules makes for interesting dynamics I think. will have to define what these races are, including the human race.
-  medieval is when those creatures start to die  out (not sure how to incorporate this but creatures like shifters are  hunted? By another species or perhaps humans, maybe a war. but what  defines humans then, if those traits are normal? Maybe there is a difference between humans and those with animal traits, and people with magic are hunted. hmm).
-  and now futuristic, where no one has magic (but perhaps traits like  weird ears are fine), or maybe the ruling class has it and says its  shows their right to rule

Gods used to watch over the medieval au and were quite  involved then, but then left before the futuristic au - maybe a war? -  because they lost hope in humanity, and humanity stopped believing in  them so they lost their powers?
Maybe some gods could become human? Or since they lost their powers they fall on earth as immortal beings
Maybe not all gods fade - cults could still exist, and 'evil' gods would join the dystopian societies for power
So all the good ones disappear and only bad ones exist

Other ways to link the two main worlds:
FAN  and FUT are on different planets, thus exist at the same time - thus  because FUT is spacefaring, they could end up meeting the FAN people. I  can stage a war between the two aus maybe so that could be fun
OR
Reincarnation  - the two aus are separate (different 'planes' of existence maybe), and  when someone dies from on they are brought into the other.

Other settings within those main worlds
Feudal Japan
Egypt
