More than anything, Keldrin is an opportunist. He'll do whatever he needs to in order to get what he wants when he wants it, even if it means at the expense of others.  
He has a very charismatic personality, always willing to talk his way out of situations rather than resort to force of arms. Moreover, talking is what he does best. He loves irony, sarcasm, and wit.
His gambling and sometimes foolish-seeming attitude is a very good facade, underneath which lays a frighteningly calculating mind.

Keldrin is a bard from House Zautyl. He is the youngest son of the Zauthyl family while his older sister is the head and runs the family business. On the outside, he is seen as the idle younger brother who spends his time in taverns telling wild stories while people buy him drinks. His real job is to maintain a "spy network" with contacts to deal with various troubles that come along with being in a family that is part of the Underdark Merchants Guild.

From time to time he seeks the thrill of adventure in the Surface, while those under his command begrudgingly do most of the work for him.

• Loves magical items a little too much sometimes.
• He was a prodigy in swordsmanship in his juvenile years but then lost his passion for it later in life. 
• He posesses a sharp tongue and a talent for haggling and trade, charming possible trade partners left and right, as well as twisting any and every situation to his favor. 
• Has the most wretched combination of eating habits. Very much 'bachelor who doesn't know how to cook and lives off gas station slushies' meets 'Designer cat who will only eat out of a crystal dish presented at 3:45 pm with exactly half a cup of wet food'.
• Most of what he wears can be described as flamboyant and extravagant, compared to drow aesthetic standards. He enjoys surface fashion a lot, which means he'll wear any colorful piece with too much lace without a second thought. 
• Peacock feathers and/or patterns are often present in his wardrobe.
• Likes to feel tall by wearing heels.
• In it for his own gain and his own entertainment.
• Since he has no qualms dealing with the "surface races", Keldrin has much information few others beyond Lolth's priestesses are likely to have access to.
• Keldrin is skilled in the two long blades fighting style commonly used by the drow, though when mismatched with less skilled opponents he is known to use the less effective but visually more showy swashbuckling style to distract them. Despite his proficiency with blades, Keldrin tends to prefer to use his many magic trinkets as a first resort.
