A kodan rendered mute by his former Voice. Edge initially wished to train to be the Claw of Koda, until he was tossed aside for a less worthy (in his eyes) kodan, and forcibly given guard-work to keep the failing Sanctuary safe and fed.
The Voice of the Sanctuary eventually fell to madness, and, upon attacking one of her Attendants, was eventually felled by Edge and the now Ex-Claw, whom later succumbed to his wounds. The Sanctuary, now facing ruin, begged Edge to take up the mantle, promising a new and stable Voice. Their prayers fell on deaf ears, and a cold, bitter heart, as Edge took his new friend Red and left, travelling the Shiverpeaks to gain some semblance of a normal life, his old beliefs shattered over watching his berserk Voice wreak havoc. A Just god could never, he thought, and so gave up on Koda entirely.
