Being born and raised in Aurelia comes with a variety of perks: plenty of activities to participate in, plenty of people to meet, and plenty of sights to see. Whimbrel is one of those lucky ones, introduced to brand new people and cultures a the very beginning of her life. Her parents had been long-time natives, marrying a few years after high school graduation and bringing Whimbrel into the world shortly after. The three did everything together, her parents sharing their love of mother nature with their daughter every chance they could get. Whether it was through hiking up wildflower-covered hillsides, or foraging or edible mushrooms, Whimbrel had a blast- but nothing seemed to make her happier than birdwatching. Her parents would always find her sneaking peeks at the hummingbird feeders hanging outside their windows, to see if she could spit the little birds flitting about or even trying to get close enough to pet the wild geese that would rest in their flocks during the migration period. On many accounts, even, Whimbrel had even begged her mom to let her have chickens, and on even more accounts, ducks.

If Whimbrel had it her way, she would have strayed as far as she could away from schooling to just be outdoors with her friends, however, she had no choice but to go, despite her many complaints to her parents. Schooling was hard for Whimbrel, the poor girl wanting nothing more than to talk with her friends during class or go outside and play, much to her teacher's dismay. It seemed as if nothing interested her enough to remain actively engaged in her education unless she was in her science and mathematics classes. Even then, it was hard to keep her on track, despite her teachers recognizing her mathematical and statistical prowess. But despite her chatty and spacey nature, she did graduate with multiple honors, deciding to go to school for mathematics with a minor in ornithology. College was a bit more lax and lenient of Whimbrel's personality traits, and she found a deep love for the way her classes were centered around personal freedom and time management. She decided later on in her studies that she'd like to teach, thinking her future students would appreciate her outgoing and chatty nature more than someone more strict and stuffy. That is exactly what she had done too, graduating and immediately being offered a position at Acadia University as a Calculus teacher. At present, Whimbrel enjoys every day to the fullest, always beginning her class with a fun bird or foraging-related fact before getting to work and helping others understand functions and calculations.
