Profile
A maiden who wears her heart on her sleeve, pouring love across her kingdom from a gilded teacup she would rather dash upon the rocks. Meryl loves, and loves, and loves, but that's all she ever is: a beacon of love. The princess of Ximnis is to never be more than that; her title itself is purely aesthetic save the flourish of a pen to sign off on papers she will never read. And she fits the mold well, as that is what the council of elders—the true figureheads of the kingdom—needed her to be: fair upon the eyes, fairer more in temperament, so that she may temper the weary hearts of her people with the gentlest of smiles. Meryl knows she can never rise above this station, so she wears it like a ribbon at her throat. Decorative, yes, but charming if matched to the right outfit during the right circumstance amongst the right people. Unfortunately, this has left her a very lonely soul, as once she has played her part, people pay her little mind. So, Meryl reaches arms for anyone willing to give her the time of day, and due to a fragile heart, unfortunately comes to love them, as well. She actually detests this part of herself terribly, but can't help it, especially when life lopped on her being an irregular with a weak constitution. Meryl doesn't want pity, people's sad smiles and stares, so she tosses love at their feet instead. Let it serve a lovely distraction, she would think, as it is better than them thinking me weak.
