My main Pact commander, Io originally trained to be a druid when she was young. Circumstances related to her parents led to her being kidnapped on her 17th birthday and experimented on by the white mantle. Her memories of that time are vague at best, and she has no memory of how she got out. All she knows is she woke up in an alley on her 18th birthday with a shard of bloodstone embedded by her heart, draining any magic she had. She went on from there to work as a bartender in Divinity's Reach, practicing engineering entirely as a hobby on the side, until a bad case of wrong place, wrong time led to her working closely with Captain Thackery and joining the Vigil.
