BACKSTORY

- Nix comes from a long line of infamous thieves and criminals - who had worked their way into nobility, being only steps away from joining the nobles by getting close to the king. - Her upbringing was quite strict On her mother’s behalf, she was often hit with canes and belts for minor slip ups in her teachings, she often becomes quite anxious around people who carry canes similar to those her mother had. - She'd seen quite a bit of violence from her Mother, who showed very little to no regard for other people, Servants especially, however Nobles were often gossiped about to her two partners, Her mother is where she found her hatred for rich people thinking these rumours were fact. Her second mother taught Nix servants were people to and deserved to be treated as such - this is where she learnt to treat those less fortunate than her with respect. - Despite the strict upbringing from her mother, as well as her fathers absence due to working for the royal family and the only voice of reason in her life, her other mother - Nix loved her parents very much as they were the only people in her life, she didn’t have any friends as a child and was kept quite isolated. Her father was very rarely around as he was a servant for the king - The nobles looked down on him believing he was only with the mother for her money, the origin of the third parent is unknown so many rumours would often float around. - When her mother saw her giving some food to a homeless boy around the same age as her and was scolded and told everyone was below her. But Nix didn't believe that thanks to the teachings of her other mother, she was protected by her other mother and walked streets quite frequently With her when she was young. She loved people and learnt most of them are very kind and just need some help - After confronting her mother and father on that, the Mother realised Nix wasnt cut out for taking the reigns of the families big secret plan, So her mother snuck her own jewlery in Nix's bag and informed the cities guards she was stolen from, Nix later found them in her bag and was arrested - Her biological mother and father visited her in prison and disowned her...Nix had no idea it was her mother who snuck the jewels into her bag. She was sentenced to death - hearing rumours of a Nix being hung, her third parent bribed a guard with a very large sum of money to release her, they accepted and let her go free. -She had joined another city and became a training royal guard there, in hopes to Redeem herself for the crime she was framed for, however things only got worse there Nix now travels the world as a thief after learning her families origin in a library, she lives up to the Seldom name as a talented thief, however one with a golden heart who wishes to help those no one else will.
