Overview:

A once brash and energetic young boy, Jaden has turned into a cold and insecure young man due to a combination of troubled upbringing, constant heart break and an ongoing battle against addiction.

History:

Jaden grew up in a dysfunctional household where his parents were constantly arguing, being off, then on again, then off again.
He was devastated when his dad finally left for good, as Jaden idolised him and wanted to be exactly like him, and so spent a lot of his pre-teen being very angry and destructive as an outlet for his hurt. (He also spent a lot of time denying his sexuality due to his dad, and had a string of 'girlfriends' throughout his teens.)
Eventually he ran away from home, spending a lot of time on the streets and eventually wound up getting involved with Sofi and one of her schemes - she offered him freedom and a place to belong and in return he would do odd jobs for her and act as a general dogsbody. It was here that Jaden finally found some sort of peace and even someone to love, but it didn't last. The scheme collapsed and he was spat back out no better than when he started - worse even.
Heartbroken and destitute, Jaden returned home to his mother and sisters, spending some time recuperating and catching up with old friends Yara and Arc. He moved in with them and was fine for a while, until he got involved in another relationship. This, again, ended badly when the other party cheated on him.

However, instead of devolving back into drugs and emotional volatility, Jaden went completely off the other end, signing up with his family's assassination business and becoming a stone cold assassin instead, cutting most ties with friends and people who might have known how he was before.
