Felix

Backstory

Androids MK-FX-030 and up were designed to be companionship robots, capable of sentience and thinking for themselves. They are made custom to order, but in addition, any model is able to run a multitude of chips that alter the appearance and personality of androids of their type. These chips act as software for the android's hardware, and will change anything from personality, to the way it dresses, to the way it looks. Thousands of chips exist for androids around the world, but any current date 48MK and upwards will work for FX-030s. 

The chips are small, no bigger than a USB, and are inserted the same way you would insert an SD card. They usually have a paper cover on them, normally printed with a symbol describing the type of augmentation they contain. 48CP-A and 48CP-B are the two differing chips, a singular chip can only be one or the other. 

"A" chips are appearance based, and will alter the species and look of the android. "B" chips are personalities, coming in almost five thousand different types. Running an "A" chip on its own without a "B" chip is completely safe. The android will run perfectly fine and default to its base personality software. Running a "B" chip without an "A" chip is not advised. The current models are not able to be ran without any chip at all, and will remain inactive until a chip is loaded.

Felix was the second ever FX-030, and as such has been active for a very long time. Unfortunately, an early test on Felix, where their creator tested using a "B" chip without a corresponding "A" chip, nearly broke Felix and made them a hazard to themselves and others temporarily.

When running an android with solely a "B" chip, they quickly become unstable; all androids need a physical outlet to express their strong emotions properly. They can act out and be violent, completely withdraw, or a combination of anything in-between. 

When Felix was run without their "A" chip, the resulting fallout almost led to him being permanently deactivated. The creator managed to spare Felix's consciousness, but not without a severe case of memory loss in Felix. They will often forget small details, and does not remember anything about their creator or early life. 

Asking Felix about any emotion he currently feels is hopeless, as Felix lacks the knowledge and wisdom to correctly identify his feelings anymore. However, when he is around friends, Felix has an easier time remembering who he is and is better at guessing current emotions he may be experiencing.
