Vegas

Often acts nervous. Displays odd behaviors. Tends to click their antennae together instead of speaking normally. Once they remember that viscets don't speak this way, they hastily repeat what they meant to say with spoken word.

Vegas is a field researcher from a race of viscets from another planet. "Vegas" is just a nickname they hastily picked to use while on earth, their true name is a series of clicks made by their antennae. On their home planet, antennae clicks have largely replaced spoken language because it is both visual and auditory, making it more accesible to all. Spoken language is mostly archaic. Antennae are standard where Vegas comes from, and they have not yet met a viscet on earth who has them. If they do, they'd be very excited to learn as much about them as possible, as they have a hypothesis that viscets as a species originate from a location outside of both earth and their home planet. This alien is lost in a strange world.
