Being a vampire who hunts other vampires isn't easy. Committing to protecting people that hate you isn't the path of life for most of her kind. Adrian's grown up in a network of monster hunters, dealing with those like her who cause needless harm. Being a monster doesn't mean you have to be evil too.

Adrian comes from a family of vampire monster hunters. She was taught from a young age how to control her bloodthirst, how to fight her instincts and harness them for good. Her dad ran a sort of hunter's bar, and Adrian has spent most of her life helping to take care of monsters who terrorize and harm innocent people for their own gain. She's well informed on all kinds of lore, extensively educated on everything relating to monster hunting - it was only natural that her and her father's hunter group would become involved with the Oculus Foundation when a new disease outbreak was creating monster related issues. Adrian lives in a sort of moral grey area - the monster hunter methods, especially for monsters themselves are a little less than legal - but she's deeply invested in keeping innocent people safe. Hunters like her do the shady work to protect people from the worst their kind has to offer, and Adrian is no exception.

Adrian is a very rough around the edges kind of person. He's abrasive, stubborn, and very emotionally closed off. He doesn't trust very easily, and doesn't like to let people in, but he's loyal to the end for those he does. He's sensitive, but struggles to understand his own emotions, and often responds with anger because he cares a lot, but hates other people seeing that. Adrian struggles to connect with others, and fears abandonment more than anything - so he comes off intimidating, knows how to read people well, and behaves very coldly to avoid letting others see the real, much more caring and sensitive him. Adrian mostly means well, he's just got some bad emotional control.
