Avory is a genderfluid robotics mechanic (specializing in artificial intelligent units) who is always incredibly busy. From a young age they showed incredible talent when it came to using their hands and hard work and was encouraged by Rudy (their caretaker unit as a child) to pursue knowledge and learn as much as they could. When they turned fifteen and ran away from home, it turned into less of a hobby and more of a forced way to make a living.

As an adult, Avory runs their own business. While they have a large variety of clients, and most of them incredibly well-off in the wealthy district of the city, they do a great deal of charity repairs for free or "pay what you can when you can". Avory has the firm belief that robots and people are equals, and to treat a robot any less than you'd treat any person is wrong.

☆ Personality

Avory is an incredibly kind-hearted person who can't stand to see another person, or a robot, in pain. Ze's both a very empathetic and sympathetic person, making it hard to turn away robots who need their services.

Their genderfluidity can make their personality a bit complicated. Confidence can often come with how others perceive you, and since Avory isn't always the most confident person on their own, sometimes how they dress will affect how they act. Masculinity can bring outsiders viewing them as more competent in their work (despite the shocking fact that their intelligence does not, in fact, vary with their outfit) while dressing more feminine will have what they diagnose undermined.

Generally, Avory is a shy, introverted individual. They're not much for going out and meeting new people and would much prefer a night in with her three favorite robots.

☆ Story Summary

Avory grew up in an upperclass household that had multiple robots, multiple human servants, and far too much land for living in the city. Their parents were very busy and always working, so instead entrusted ze to a robot caretaker: Rudy. When Avory was fifteen their parents wanted to remove all of the robots - most of whom were, at the time, the top models - and replace them with the newer ones coming out. Because of Avory, Rudy had managed to evade being replaced, but since she was a fifteen year old model, they wanted to get rid of her and get Avory a new caretaker. The child threw a fit, not understanding why and how they could get rid of someone who had raised them.

In the end, Avory picked Rudy and together they ran away. It took a great deal of time, but Avory had always been good with their hands, so by the time they were twenty-one, and after years of sleepless nights and frightening moments in the slums, they had a stable job, a stable flow of customers, and a house in the upperend of the suburbs with Rudy, who had taken care of them and protected them that entire time. Rudy holds a special place in Avory's heart, and they make sure to take good care of the Mama bot. Bo was purchased Avory's twenty-second year, and Leo during their twenty-third.

☆ Physical Appearance

Avory is five feet four inches tall and one hundred and fifteen pounds (give or take some). Their skin is pale and covered from head to toe with freckles (Bo has a working count going and constantly plays connect the dot on ze). Ze also has large wings, black at the top which fade down to gray at the tips (only white at the very very end) and covered with white speckles.

Depending upon their gender for the day (or anything inbetween) will decide their style. While they always put a great deal of careful effort into their appearance, fully feminine they prefer full dresses, pastel colors, and meticulously applied make-up. When feeling more masculine they carefully bind their breasts and dress in slacks and highly fashionable clothes. Their closet is always overflowing and they are always buying new outfits.

☆ Relationships

Rudy [ close friend, household caretaker ] An older modeled robot, Rudy is usually very kind and caring. They take care of the house, cooking, and what cleaning they can do. As a child, Avory saved them from being destroyed when the newer models (of the time) were being released. Rudy has two modes: Mama Rudy and Papa Rudy. Mama Rudy is the default setting and is kind, caring, slow moving, and gentle. Papa Rudy is protective, stern, and doesn't take excuses. Both modes have the main objection of protecting Avory and the other Bots. Because of Rudy's age, Avory is constantly having to repair joints and inner pieces. These parts are increasingly difficult to find as time passes, forcing Avory to improvise and invent.

Bo [ close friend ] A permanently broken and malfunctioning robot. Avory picked him up at an auction for Bots and found him in the corner trying to hide, clearly having been horribly mistreated and damaged beyond all repair. It was obvious to them that he was going to be sold for parts and shut down for good... so Avory saved him and took him home. Bo suffers from many malfunctions and glitches (anxiety, especially in social settings, and stuttering are the most common but only two on a long list) that Avory can not fix, but with some hard work has him working better than ever and moving around. Bo is given special care and attention by the others and they all love him. Bo enjoys superheros, writing fluffy fanfiction, and making paper stars to help with his anxiety.

Leo [ significant other ] (LEONARDO - Lifelike Electronic Organism Normally for Assassination, Repair, and Dangerous Observation) : Originally.... Leo was not what Avory ordered. After getting Bo, it was pretty obvious they needed some extra help around the house... so Avory bought a robot. Online... and they sent ze the wrong one. Regardless, and because of their personal belief that robots can't just be replace and returned any time, Avory turned the Bot on and decided to try it since it had shown up. It went very well and Leo fit right in to their odd little family.
