Mach came to be in Ally's life after an Impersonal Incident during a mission (or possible escape) from one of Eggman's Bases, Late 3236. It is Currently Unclear what the Evil Doctor's Goal was, but she was inevitably at the wrong place, at the wrong time.

Needless to say, despite both the anxiety and distress in having to raise a child at all against her wishes- Ally feels that they somehow both share an unusual connection that she's unable to bring to description, and presently does all in her power to protect them in full.

...Even if she doesn't quite know what she's doing yet at all, let alone how.

She recalls no particular distaste towards her, let alone her antics- but agreeing with her father for the sake of her own "safety" was more than off-putting, and she feels that ultimately provided some kind of gap between them...

...Especially after her Mother wound up in a Bombing while looking after Ally's (at the time) hospitalized sister, that she was ultimately far too late to be able to save them from. (she later found that Eggman was Predictably Reponsible for this)

Despite the Year Noted of, The Discovery as well as Death of her Mother was Prior to the Incident Involving Mach.

Ally Hardly Got to Know Her Father, Really- only having actually met him 3236 after being more than curious enough to set out and find both him and her mother.

He was notably demanding, coming off as a jerk and hardly understanding of Ally's experience in adventuring, which was definitely something she detested very much- but it's not to say she hadn't Tried to get along. She definitely had a soft spot for his Guitar playing, if anything!

Unfortunately, this very issue is what led to his death- and while she tries not to dwell on it, she wonders with much regret if she could have prevented it.
