Laura

BACKSTORY

Laura grew up in the city. She lived with her parents, her older sister, and her two younger brothers. Growing up, life was interesting, as her father dedicated most of his time to hunting monsters. Even though she had an older sister, Laura was trained the most to follow the family business because of her mind-reading talents. As she grew older, she decided to move out and follow her own path. 

PERSONALITY

Laura is a very shy and anxious person. She doesn't like being out in public, and often struggles with talking to people. Laura is a very responsible person, and tries to keep everyone on their best behavior, although she isn't often successful. She's also very caring, and tries to help her friends whenever she can.

LIKES AND DISLIKES

Laura loves studying astronomy and can spend hours stargazing. She also enjoys organizing and cleaning, as she finds it relaxing. Laura dislikes having to go out, especially to parties where she doesn't know anyone. In the beginning of the story, she has a strong dislike for monsters as well, because she’s been brought up to see them all as evil. 

INFORMATION ON MIND READERS

Mind readers can hear people's thoughts and see their memories. Thoughts can be heard just as if the person was saying them out loud. The more powerful the mind reader is, the more people's thoughts they can hear. With some concentration, these thoughts can be blocked out. Seeing memories is more difficult, and takes a lot of concentration. Laura, being one of the more powerful mind readers, can often access memories that stand out the most by making eye contact with someone.
