From a young age, Reverie Talbott has been on her own. While having a normal childhood, her parents weren’t so fond of the decision to not pursue higher education after high school. They figured, if she wasn’t going to try they weren’t going to pay for her room and board. At the age of 18, she had moved out. This period in her life was spent working a shitty minimum wage job and exploring what it was she truly wanted to do with her life. Her passion in art, soon lead to her perusing a career in tattoo artistry. Reverie became a tattoo apprentice at the age of 19. All of her time was spent practicing and learning, none being devoted to forming social bonds with other people. She became a tattoo artist full time at the age of 22. Life fell into a simple cycle, one that held up for the last two years of her life.

It was well into the afternoon when Reverie had decided to go on a hike. Not too far, just to get a breath of fresh air. The flora was always much more enjoyable when no one else is around. This wasn’t exactly the case, however, Rev wasn’t alone. Maybe they had mistaken her for a deer… maybe something else? Either way, Reverie Talbott had died that night, in the blink of an eye. She’d been shot in the chest. Her body was left hidden in woods, it’d been an accident but an irreversible one none the less.

Being a ghost is an awfully strange sensation. It’s hard to get used to the floating, invisibility, death… right, and haunting your killer. After death, the only person able to see Reverie was the same person who pulled the trigger. Her name was Catarina. She mistook the haunting for mental illness, now plagued by her mistake. When the meds didn’t work she had to accept one terrible fact. The person she’d murdered now haunts her. Reverie did not have any ill will toward Catarina, she tried not to at least. For Reverie death felt like a hurdle, one she needed to overcome to resume her old comfortable normality. Slowly and rather reluctantly she became closer to Catarina forming a friendship and even moving in together. Rev does her best now to appear alive, still working as a tattoo artist and trying to live as she once did when she was alive.
